New here? I recommend reading the short story below first — it will help you understand how to introduce Sudoku to your loved one and give them the best chance of enjoying it.
It started with my mum.
I wanted my mum to spend less time passively watching TV and more time actively using her mind.
When I was told that the changes I was seeing were simply age-appropriate, I couldn’t just accept that there was nothing worth trying.
My mum never liked crosswords.
So I thought: why not try numbers?
I created some very large, very easy Sudoku puzzles for her.
I couldn’t believe what happened next.
She got excited. She was proud of every puzzle she solved. And very soon, she wanted another one.
That little spark came back.❤️

Make the first experience an easy win.
The goal isn’t to discover the hardest Sudoku your loved one can solve.
The goal is for them to experience:
“I can do this.”
The first puzzles are intentionally extremely easy.
If your loved one has never solved Sudoku before, spend a few minutes showing them what to look for. The goal is not for you to sit beside them every time they solve.
Ideally, that first feeling of success makes them want to solve the next puzzle themselves.
And if they don’t enjoy it? That’s OK.
This is an invitation, not an obligation.
Let them try. If that first experience doesn’t spark their interest, don’t push them to continue.
Sudoku won’t be the right activity for everyone.
But they may surprise you. My mum certainly surprised me. ❤️
Find the level that keeps them wanting more.
Use the FREE book to see how far your loved one can comfortably and successfully solve.
The best Sudoku level isn’t the hardest one.
It’s the one that makes them want to solve the next puzzle.
Choose a level that gives them success, satisfaction and confidence — not frustration.

I created these puzzles for one person — my mum. ❤️
Watching her excitement, satisfaction and pride made me wonder how many other older parents and grandparents might enjoy the same simple opportunity.
That’s why I’m sharing them with you.
I hope your loved one surprises you too. ❤️
